ssSFE™ Short gDNA Fragment Depletion SRE mix for 3rd Gen Sequencing with ssDNA remover
Our ssSFE Short gDNA Fragment Depletion SRE mix for 3rd Gen Sequencing acts as a Short Read Eliminator used before library prep of gDNA preparations that are to be sequenced by 3rd gen sequencing such as Oxford Nanopore Technology and Pacbio platforms, which require long and ultra-long dsDNA input samples.
To avoid freeze-thaw cycles and for maximal convenience, this ssSFE SRE mix is supplied in low-bind microcentrifuge tubes as 100ul aliquots.
Just add your prediluted gDNA prep sample (100ul), mix and incubate 30 min at room temperature to initiate large gDNA fragments to precipitate semi-selectively, thereby reducing the amount of short reads and increasing your expected N50 in your long-read sequencing experiment.
In addition, our ssSFE SRE mix also removes single-stranded DNA from your preparations.
For those who aim at 10 kb to 250 kb reads and not necessarily megabase reads, we also offer a 10-min column-based kit that allow for much greater recovery (60-90%) than any precipitation SRE mix to this day (< 50% recovery and is highly depend on sample types and purity).
