TransNGS Index Primer Kits for Illumina®

Single Index Primer Kits KI201, KI211 and KI221 (Set 1, Set 2 and Set 3 respectively)

TransNGS® Single Index Primer Kits for Illumina® are composed of 3 different sets of primers. Each set of primers contains 12 unique barcoded i7 primers and one NGS Universal Primer for Illumina®.

Dual Index Primer Kit KI231

For multiplex next-generation sequencing library preparations, please use the TransNGS® Dual Index Primer Kit for Illumina®. Dual indexes are ideal for multiplex next-generation sequencing library preparations for Illumina sequencers. The Dual Index Primer kit provides 8 different i5 primers (i501-i508) and 12 different i7 primers (i701-i712). In total, 96 uniquely dual-indexed libraries can be prepared using this kit.

Dual Index Primer Kit KI231

TransNGS Index Primers (384) Kit for Illumina® is suitable for multiplex library preparation for next-generation sequencing on the Illumina platform. This kit contains 16 different i5 primers (i509-i524) and 24 different i7 primers(i713-i736). 384 uniquely dual-indexed libraries can be prepared using this kit.

TransNGS™ Index Kits for Illumina® are compatible with other TransNGS series products and with other NGS Library Prep Kits from different vendors.

Index Pooling Guidelines for Single Index Primers

G/T is detected by a green laser and A/C is detected by a red laser when using Illumina sequencer. Color balance is required during the process of sequencing. It is necessary to make sure that both green laser bases and red laser bases are included at each cycle when pooling indexes. Various pooling options can be executed when fewer than 12 indexes are pooled in a lane for sequencing. Some recommended pools are shown below:

  • For 2 libraries: Index 6 and 12
  • For 3 libraries: Index 4, 6 and 12
  • For 4 libraries: Index 4, 6, 8 and 12

Index Pooling Guidelines for Dual Index Primers
